WHAT IF SOMEONE HURTS YOU?
YOU are what drives this practice. You are what we are all about. You live your life trying to do right by
everybody, then somebody comes along and harms you and you don't know what to do about it. That's where we come in.
Whether somebody just wasn't paying attention to what they were doing, acted recklessly or set out to hurt you there are rights you have to get whole from it, if possible, and perhaps to seek damages (payment, restitution, things like that).Unless the offending party or their insurance company acts fast to help you in a fair way, you probably should see an attorney. There is no connection between being nice and being fair. All people should be civil and collegial in their dealings with each other, but while adversarial relationships are not warfare, it is the ultimate object of the one parting with the money to pay less. They want to pay you LESS.The adjuster is not your friend, nor is he your enemy. His job and career are measured by his ability to pay you LESS. In other words, he gets more because he pays you LESS.
That type of dealing isn't pleasant for most of the people I know. They're the one who got hurt, they're the one who got inconvenienced, they're the one who took on medical or hospital expenses, missed work and pay or maybe suffered permanent disability or lost a loved one and in the middle of all the trauma, in their weakest hour, they have to deal with the friendly lady who wants to pay LESS.It shouldn't bee that way. It doesn't have to be that way. Our office can shoulder a lot of that weight for you.
