hink you may have a case? Hiring an attorney at the Roper Law Firm is not difficult if you objectives are appropriate, your facts are righteous and the law provides relief for your circumstances.

HOW DO I REACH YOU?

Pick up the telephone and call (706) 596-1010. You will be greeted by a friendly receptionist who will ask you generally why you are calling. This helps her know how to direct your concerns. She will either make you an appointment with the appropriate Attorney or direct your call to the attorney or his secretary to get you prepared for the appointment. When you arrive, your attorney will thoroughly explore your concerns and inform you, then and there, as to his best estimate of the cost of the service to you and the time range in which you might expect finality based on the facts of your Case.

WHEN AM I A LAW FIRM CLIENT?
In general, when you and your attorney have thoroughly explored your needs and expectations and you have signed and entered into a representational agreement, and you have paid your retainer-if there is one. Until that happens, you are not represented by the Roper Law Firm and may not expect that we are doing anything with your Case or the facts you related to us.

HOW DO I STAY INFORMED?
At the beginning, the factual summary of your case and the expected work requirements is reduced to writing by your attorney and you will approve that. As the case progresses, it is our practice to inform you of salient matters and send you copies of materials that we generate or that are sent to us. If action by you is required then we prepare you to respond. Likewise, we expect you to keep us informed as to changes in your condition or the facts that you presented to us.

  WHO WORKS ON MY CASE?

That depends on the area of the Law that affects your case. All lawyers cannot be all things to all people. Some areas of the practice are highly specialized and require advanced training and education. Some attorneys limit their practice to certain aspects of representation and therefore would normally be more knowledgeable, experienced and, hopefully, efficient in those matters. After a complete review of your needs, your Roper Law Firm attorney will give you his evaluation. If referral to another attorney, within the firm or outside, is deemed to be best for you then that recommendation will be made to you.

Much routine work which does not require the expertise of a lawyer may be performed by paralegals or other Support Staff. This results in economy of time and resources for you. Regardless of how the job gets done for you, or by whom the work is performed, your Roper Law Firm attorney is responsible for the quality of the product and is accountable to you, the Client.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
For a more advanced discussion of how legal services are priced, follow this Link.

Naturally, the price of the service depends on the nature of the work to be done, the difficulty of the work and the time it takes to get it done, among other things. Whatever is required, you may be assured that both you and your Roper Law Firm attorney will reach agreement before the services are performed.
